A few days ago I was asked to post an article that would have turmeric and buttermilk as its main ingredients.
According to what I found out through my detailed research about this, it seems that turmeric is highly appreciated among natural remedies and is considered to be a miracle potion for fighting dark circles.
Turmeric is originally from Southeast of Asia, but now the largest producer (80% of world production) is India. It is also grown in Indonesia, South America and sporadically in Africa.
If like me you’re a fan of curry then it is likely that you’ve got some turmeric in your kitchen cupboard as it is one of the main ingredients.
Turmeric is also included on the list of spices that give the specific taste to Worcestershire sauce.
However, turmeric is widely used for other purposes than just cooking.
From my research I learned that turmeric has anti inflammatory properties and through alternative medicine it can be used for treating numerous health issues as well.
Not only that, but turmeric is also highly effective in cosmetics, frequently used as a key ingredient in sun protection skin products.
How To Make The Face Mask
I will introduce you to an extremely praised mask that quickly combats dark circles.
In my case this combination worked best, but if you prefer, turmeric can also be mixed with 2-3 teaspoons of buttermilk.
By adding buttermilk to turmeric you can still enjoy the benefits of an effective mask for dark circles.
I can not say I have pronounced dark circles at the moment, but the area around my eyes definitely seems to look rosier after treating myself to this mask.
I read that a lot of people are happy with the results of this mask and I hope you will be too.
I for one will for sure keep this among my favorite home made masks applying it every time I think it’s needed.
You will need:
- 2 TSP turmeric
- 2-3 TSP pineapple juice
- Put your turmeric in a bowl.
- Add the pineapple juice while stirring gently until the mixture becomes like a paste.
- Apply this mask on the dark circles every morning and you will notice how the area around your eyes will visibly improve.
You can also try from my other great face masks for dark circles:
- Face mask with vitamin E and honey
- Face mask with tomatoes and lemon
- Face mask with almond oil and lemon juice
- Face mask with honey, potatoes and olive oil
- Face mask with cucumber and lemon juice
